True to its commitment to [provide life-changing experience and empower the Filipino micro and small entrepreneurs, SuperApp DiskarTech has just penetrated the Litex Market at Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City.

With their sustained information and dissemination drive, “digital literacy” DiskarTech takes pride for the first “diskartechfied” public market in the Philippines where most of the vendors accept payments through the Diskartech app and with around 197 out of 200 vendors have downloaded the first and only Taglish financial app for their transactions.

These vendors join the growing number of “Negosyantech”, in the country. It is a coined word referring to an entrepreneur who embraces technology. They belong to the 70% unbanked and underserved sector whom RCBC would like to reach out to as a commitment to financial inclusion for Filipinos especially those in the periphery or grassroots communities.

For his part, Lito Villanueva, Executive Vice President, and Chief Innovation and Inclusion Officer said, “They were left out of this move to digital platforms. Most of them are challenged in terms of language and identity verification and they feel that the existing financial apps are not made for them. That is why RCBC introduced Diskartech to fill in this gap.”

As a “Negosyantech” one could use the Diskartech features as business tools. They are called paki-suyo” services referring to a Filipino culture of requesting another person to do a favor on one’s behalf. These services include bills payment, prepaid smartphone loading, money transfers, insurance, telemedicine, and more. The Negosyantech provides the services on one’s behalf for a fee.

Another benefit that a Negosyantech user would be the 3.25% interest per annum on savings in the DiskarTech app. To make it more enticing to the masses the digital bank does not require a maintaining balance, unlike a regular bank account.

The Diskartech inclusion super app has a life-changing impact in easing the financial burden of the Filipinos, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. It continues to grow by leaps and bounds as it positions to be the preferred financial app of the masses.

Diskartech has recorded more than three million downloads since it launched in July 2020. For its massive digital push, RCBC has merited three global awards in three months during the pandemic and being named as the Philippines’ best digital bank.
