Philippine National Police Deputy Chief for Operations Police Lieutenant General Guillermo Eleazar joined PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN Rhodel Sermonia in the inspection of control points at the Meycauayan – Valenzuela boundary, Bocaue Toll Plaza and Fields Avenue in Angeles City, yesterday March 19.

This is to ensure that proper guidelines are constantly being observed by the deployed PNP personnel to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 in the country.

The PNP personnel who are the frontliners that secure the roads and community to prevent the spread of the virus are told to follow the protocol of wearing protective masks and thermal scanner guns. They have been conducting 24/7 round the clock checkpoint operations in all boundaries and borders of each province region-wide.

In a text message sent by PLtGen Eleazar to THEPHILBIZNEWS, he reiterated that media personnel is allowed to go out, cover and gather news. However, starting tomorrow the media should have PCOO issued ID and still allowed to cover without any companion.

Meanwhile, General Sermonia aid that the entire Central Luzon cops will have no let-up in the much stricter implementation of the enhanced community quarantine and he continues to appeal for public support and unity so that COVID-19 could be curbed.
