4th State of the Nation Address
As I write this article on the day itself before the SONA of our President Rodrigo Duterte, there is nothing more appropriate to write about but wish for our countrymen will receive the message of the President in the best way we should and we can for as it had happened in the past, there are those who purposely “misinterpret” just to be different.
Maybe its about time to start believing and wish that promises made may finally come true. We must lessen our negativism and fatalistic attitude which defeat whatever a well-meaning person would like to do for our people.
Let us start believing in our people for we can only be what we truly desire to be when we are united.

According to information, there are now 306 members in the 18th Congress, from 297 in the 17th Congress.
For sure most of them will be present for the State of the Nation Address of the President for the Pacquiao-Thurman bout was scheduled last Sunday that made it impossible for the members of Congress to be in Las Vegas for the boxing bout of Senator Manny Pacquiao vs. Keith Thurman last Saturday evening in Las Vegas which was about 11 A.M. in Manila, Sunday morning.
It was impossible for the members of Congress to make it on time for the SONA, Monday, July 22 because if they tried, they will lose a day coming back, meaning to say, even if they left Las Vegas last Sunday morning after the Pacquiao-Thurman bout the night before, they will arrive in Manila on Tuesday kasi ang Sunday sa Las Vegas ay Lunes na sa Manila. Martes na ang dating.
In other words, going to Las Vegas or the U.S. West Coast by plane, you gain a day; but coming back, you lose a day. Martes na ang petsa ng dating sa Manila.
That really made it impossible for our Congressmen to attend the exciting and thrilling fight of Senator Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas.
To the champion: Congratulations and all the best. Senator Pacquiao gave honor to our country once again. God bless!
