PTTC-GMEA shall also assist enterprises in finding solutions to challenges encountered in their operations through the conduct of a Business Clinic slated on July 11. Entrepreneurs will have the chance to have a one-on-one consultation with well-known experts from the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP), Kapatid Mentor Me (KMMe), and from the PTTC-GMEA’s pool of Resource Persons. This shall be in the areas of Business Ideation, Business Expansion, Management, Product Development, Training, and Marketing, among others. MSMEs are advised to bring their respective sample products for the consultation.
Youth Entrepreneurship Boot Camp
PTTC-GMEA will also launch its new program for the youth/students with the objective of helping them change their mindset from being job seekers to job creators. This will be a 2-day activity where youth participants will be given lectures and training on Entrepreneurial Mindset, Business Ideation, Product Development, Marketing and Business Pitching. There will be actual Business Pitching where students will compete against other groups. Winners shall be provided vouchers to be used to avail of free trainings of their choice at PTTC-GMEA. Students who wish to participate in the Boot Camp should form a group of three (3) and a proposed product or business idea will be an advantage.
More Global Partnerships – Halal Travel and Italian/European Market
To realize its objective of helping Philippine MSMEs become globally competitive, PTTC-GMEA seeks to ink partnerships with more Global Leaders in Capability and Capacity Building. The Philippines has registered a total of 565,269 halal-conscious foreign visitors in 2015, a far cry from the 108 Million Muslims projected to travel around the world in 2020. Wanting to increase the country’s share in the pie, PTTC-GMEA shall sign an MOU with the Crescent Rating Academy of Singapore, which is the world’s leading authority on Halal Travel and a leader in training and certification in the Muslim Travel Market. Further, banking on the institution’s strength in the production of wearables and home styles, PTTC-GMEA shall also enter into a partnership with the Italian Business Chamber for possible market prospects.
