Celebrated fashion designers in the country will take center stage in New York City in an exhibition showcasing the best of the Philippines on April 11-13.

Albert Andrada and Barge Ramos are expected to shine as they represent the Philippines for the first time at New York Fashion Week Bridal Collection on April 13. The event will be staged at one of the grandest fashion show venues in New York — the Landmark on the Park at 160 Central Park West.

But before that, Andrada and Ramos will have two days to impress with their Filipino ingenuity in design through their masterpieces displayed at the lobby of the Philippine Center, 5th Avenue, New York on April 11-12.

Dubbed as “FABULOUS PHILIPPINES: A Perfect Wedding Destination,” it is the year’s biggest collaboration of the country’s most talented, respected and internationally recognized fashion designers who have consistently brought pride and honor to the Philippines for their unparalleled contribution in the local fashion industry.

FABULOUS PHILIPPINES is an opportunity to show to the whole world that the Philippines is not just a tourist destination, but the perfect place for weddings one can only imagine. Through Andrada and Ramos, Filipino couturiers can be recognized among the best in the world in the event.

This will also pave way for Philippine Tourism and Lifestyle Events focusing on the development, marketing and promotion of the country’s unique and autochthonous handwoven fabrics such as pinya of Aklan, Inabel of Ilocos Sur and other indigenous materials that are available only in the Philippines.

In its general perspective, the three-day event will be a fusion of proudly Filipino obra of handwoven fabrics, and outstanding lifestyle items including Albert Andrada’s creations used by Pia Wurtzbach during the pageant where she got her crown as Miss Universe 2015 will also be part of the exhibit.

This is a celebration of Filipino creativity while making a difference as proceeds of this project will be for the benefit of Educare for Life International Foundation.

One who could hardly contain her excitement over the New York fashion event is Dr. Christine May Daguno-Canoy, president and CEO of Neocolors Production & Advertising Inc. and Neocolors Production & Advertising International Inc., who founded Educare. She expressed gratitude to the two renowned fashion designers for sharing the fruits of their God-given talents in support of the foundation’s humanitarian goals.

Fabulous Philippines is a Neocolors production in partnership with TPBPHL (Tourism Promotions Board of the Philippines), PAGCOR (Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation), Philippine Airlines, PCSO (Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office), YHMD International Manpower Services Inc., Tanduay, New World Makati Hotel, and TFC (The Filipino Channel) as its official media partner.
