For 3rd consecutive weeks, pump prices to go up on Tuesday

Brace yourself as pump prices of all petroleum products are going to increase again tomorrow, marking the third consecutive week of fuel price increases.

The increase will happen tomorrow morning, Tuesday at  6 a.m. February 26.

So far, only Pilipinas Shell has confirmed on the said increase of their pump price wherein the gasoline will increase by P1.45, diesel by P1.45, and kerosene by P1.35. The Philippine Business and News is trying to get feedback from Chevron, Total, Petron but so far no feedback yet.

The common practice, when one petroleum company increases, others usually follow.

Meanwhile, the Department of Energy (DOE) said that the inevitable price increase per liter of petroleum products in the country is due to the oil prices in the world market and the much anticipated US-led economic sanctions against Iran.

According to the data from the Department of Energy (DOE), gasoline prices in Metro Manila ranges between P49 and P53, while diesel prices hits around P41 and P45.
