Once again, the colorful and joyous Panagbenga 2019 has kicked off. This is the 24th year of Baguio Flower Festival participated by students from different public schools in the Pines City.
As expected. these young students danced their way down Session Road in this city wearing colorful ethnic attires to formally open the 24th Panagbenga Festival on Friday, February 1.
Many people are also wondering how Panagbenga started. The Flower Festival was launched in 1995 to help in the rebuilding of Baguio City from the destruction of the July 1990 earthquake. Since then, many tourists go up to Baguio to witness this unique flower festival held in the Summer Capital of the Philippines.
The theme of Panagbenga 2019 is “Blooming Forward”.
