In a surprise yet mysterious move from President Rodrigo Duterte, Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said the President has expressed willingness to “speak to the nation” on Tuesday.But as for what he would be revealing, no one really knows.
However, some speculated that he will step dowm. Others said he will announce that he is terminally ill, a speculation that has been going on for several months. Maybe, only Palace Spokesman knows what Duterte is going to reveal.
According to Rqoue, “The president is slated to address the nation on Tuesday. But this will be announced in Davao and not in Manila.”
However, the presidential spokesman also said Duterte’s scheduled press briefing is based on schedule and may still change. It will be held around 3PM before the Cabinet meeting in Malacañang.
The President arrived in Davao last Saturday from his trip to Jordan. He has not come to Manila since he arrived.
