The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), in partnership with MyEG PHILIPPINES, INC. (MyEG PH), officially launches today the Online Travel Tax Services System (OTTSS), providing traveling citizens with more than 90,000 options to pay for their travel tax nationwide.

This comes after TIEZA’s Chief Operating Officer, Mark Lapid signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with MyEG PH Chief Executive Officer, Ann Margaret Saldaña last June 8, 2022, at the Midas Tent in Midas Hotel and Casino, Pasay City.

With the OTTSS, TIEZA provides citizens a faster, more convenient, and hassle free way to pay their travel taxes online using different payment options from MyEG’s partner E-Wallets such as GCash, Maya (formerly known as PayMaya),

GrabPay, and ShopeePay; Online Bank Transfers from BDO, BPI, RCBC, Unionbank, and Maybank; or thru their VISA, Mastercard, and JCB credit and debit cards. Cash payment options are also still available thru any branch of 7- Eleven, Cebuana Lhuillier, Palawan Express, Bayad Center, SM Malls, Robinsons Department Store, Tambunting Pawnshop, RD Pawnshop, USSC, Posible, DA5, and many others.

The process of paying the travel tax online is also quick and easy, with just almost a minute to complete. Citizens just simply need to visit TIEZA’s website at https://tieza.gov.ph, click Travel Tax on the navigation menu, and choose Pay Travel Tax Online. On the page, they just need to click the MYEG icon, fill-up the form, select their preferred payment option, and pay.

In addition to the OTTSS, citizens will also soon be able to pay for their travel tax via MyEG’s website at www.myeg.ph. This saves the time that travelers consume queuing in airports before boarding their flights.

“We’ve seen a tremendous increase in inbound travel, which is a good sign for the country’s tourism. Now that the Philippines and other countries have more relaxed Covid-19 restrictions, we expect a spike in our number of outbound travels, especially to countries such as South Korea, wherein Filipino tourists are

allowed visa-free entries to Gangwon Province and the Seoul Metropolitan Area. We hope the citizens will utilize the OTTSS, so we can somehow decongest the terminals and lessen the transactions and counters that citizens need to deal with before boarding their flight,” says TIEZA’s Chief Operating Officer Mr. Mark Lapid.

“MYEG s mission has always been to work hand-in-hand with government institutions, from automating their processes, platforms and systems up to activating our more than 90,000 payment channels nationwide. We are honored to partner with TIEZA’s Online Travel Tax Services System in integrating and activating our payment services, thus providing a more hassle-free and convenient way for citizens to pay for their travel taxes online,” says MYEG PH’s Chief Executive Officer Ms. Ann Margaret Saldaña.

The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), formerly the Philippine Tourism Authority, is a Philippine agency under the Department of Tourism responsible for implementing policies and programs of the department on the development, promotion, and supervision of tourism projects in the Philippines.

TIEZA acts as the Department of Tourism’s implementing arm in providing support infrastructures and facilitating investments in tourism enterprise zones (TEZ) nationwide and relies in its 50% share from the gross collection of the travel tax as its primary source of funding to carry out its mandate.

Pay your BIR taxes online in less than a minute and get real-time payment confirmation with MyEG’s safe & secured 24 hours payment platform with multiple payment options.

As we open the beginning of the year, businesses are bound to pay renewal of permits, licenses and several registration fees, one of which is paying their Annual Business Registration Fee with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). To expand it’s available payment channels, BIR has partnered with the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) & MyEG, a market leader in electronic solutions championing government services online automation, for the implementation of its new and improved online payment service allowing citizens to pay their BIR online tax payment via www.myeg.ph.

Paying taxes via the MyEG’s BIR Tax ePayment is easy, convenient, and hassle-free. All taxpayers need to do is to simply log in at www.myeg.ph and choose among the different BIR form series and tax type they need to pay and will be redirected immediately to the MyEG’s payment gateway where they can choose their preferred payment option. This entire process will only take less than a minute and payments are posted real-time.

Other BIR Philippine taxes that they can be paid includes Withholding Tax, Value-Added Tax, Percentage Tax, Documentary Stamp Tax, Fringe Benefit Tax, and Corporate Income Tax, etc.

No more missing payment deadlines, penalties, no more complicated processes to pay taxes online but now, a more efficient, safer and effective way to pay their taxes via MyEG’s payment platform where individuals and businesses now have an additional channel to settle their BIR tax requirements in one platform with various payment options such as GCash, and credit/debit cards.

“This innovation is part of our third solution providers to explore ways so that taxpayers can file and pay their taxes while remaining in the safety and security of their homes or their offices. This effort is much appreciated as it compliments BIR’s efforts to enhance our key services, electronic services, and offer the public different options to help them comply with their tax obligations online,” said BIR Deputy Commissioner Lanee David.

Meanwhile, MYEG Philippines Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Ann Margaret Saldaña said, “MYEG has been a leader in automating government services both here in the Philippines and in Malaysia. Through this partnership with BIR and DBP, we are able to connect the taxpayers to our payment channels nationwide while we remain deeply committed in enabling government institutions to provide the ease of doing business so that citizens will have a more convenient and hassle-free way of paying their taxes online.”

The BIR Tax ePayment System was officially launched last October 18, 2021 and was made possible in partnership of The Bureau of Internal Revenue, The Development Bank of the Philippines, and IPAY MyEG PHILIPPINES, INC.

MyEG Philippines bags exclusive distributorship

By Alithea De Jesus

Ensuring that COVID-19 testing will be accessible without a need to go to a hospital or laboratory center, MyEG PHILIPPINES, INC. (MyEG PH), in partnership with IP Biotech, Inc. (IPB), and Family Vaccine and Specialty Clinics, Inc. (FVSC), announced today the introduction and the arrival this first-ever month of at-home COVID-19 testing service for the Philippine market, a safe and non-invasive test method aimed at helping the country’s fight against the ongoing pandemic by accelerating and enhancing screening.

As background, MyEG PH is a market leader in the electronic solutions and has been instrumental in providing efficient government services online automation. While its partners, IP Biotech, Inc. (IPB) is a licensed importer of vaccines, and medical devices in the country, and the Family Vaccine and Specialty Clinics, Inc. (FVSC) is one of the largest chains of vaccination clinics in the country that delivers quality health care services to Filipinos,

Being the exclusive distributor of the VereRT ZeroPrep Covid 19 PCR Kit, MyEG PH through IPB and FVSC will be making the service – the first of its kind in the Philippine market, enabling home and on-site corporate collection of saliva samples by licensed medical professionals that are then sent to partner laboratories for processing and with test results delivered in 1-2 working days. The diagnostic kit is developed by Singapore-based biotechnology company Veredus Laboratories that specializes in developing portable diagnostic tool kit.

This saliva-based kit, which has received the approval of the Food and Drug Administration of the Philippines and has also been approved for use in Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand can also detect the new strains of Covid-19 (SARS-CoV-2) that has been reported in United Kingdom, South Africa, and Brazil.

MyEG is introducing this game-changing approach, where people can be tested either in the safety of their homes or in the confines of their workplace, which is more convenient, efficient, and far less invasive than conventional methods without compromising accuracy, to enable more people to be tested, thus providing a timely and much-needed boost in the fight against the spread of COVID-19 that has seen available healthcare resources worldwide being increasingly stretched to their limits.

The simple. non-invasive specimen collection for COVID19 test at home or even in the workplace

With the introduction of this new method of COVID19 testing by MyEG, it will not only make the testing accessible but will also give peace of mind and ensure better protection for people and frontline healthcare providers by reducing the need for close contact since samples can be collected in the comforts and safety of home.

This fast, convenient and non-invasive method of testing can greatly enhance early accurate detection and subsequent early intervention, which would in turn be instrumental in containing the spread and impact of the COVID-19 virus. Making such a hassle-free approach to testing available to the public would be very much in line with the convenient, doorstep delivery of a myriad government and ancillary services that MyEG is already known for. Furthermore, this effort can help ease the pressure on the country’s frontline workers who have been working tirelessly in the past year.

In the wake of the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, MyEG has leveraged its strengths and expertise as a leading digital services provider in the region to embark on a number of significant initiatives, guided by a vision to provide a holistic solution to help in the fight against COVID-19.

For inquiries, MyEG has opened its hotline at 0968-621-1441 and 0936-148-2679.
