<p>The 2025 Taiwan OCAC Education Expo, hosted by Taiwan&#8217;s Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) and organized by the Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines, took place on January 18-19 at the Fil-Chi Cultural &amp; Economic Association. Aimed at guiding overseas compatriot students towards Taiwan&#8217;s educational opportunities, the Expo received enthusiastic participation, drawing over 650 students and parents.  </p>

<p>The opening ceremony on January 18 featured notable dignitaries, including Ambassador Wallace Minn-Gan Chow, Representative of TECO in the Philippines; Reynaldo Catapang, Director of the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO); Atty. Evangeline Q. de Leon, Executive Director Jasper Huang of the Fil-Chi Cultural &amp; Economic Association; Executive Director Steve Wong of the Federation of Fil-Chi Schools; OCAC Council members Huang Ya-Hui, Jaime Tan, and Chiang Fu-Lung; as well as Director Eric Chuang and Deputy Director Benjamin Liang from the Culture Center of TECO in the Philippines.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>During the event, certificates were presented to 10 &#8220;Recommendation Units Authorized by the OCAC,&#8221; recognizing their pivotal role in connecting students with Taiwan&#8217;s education programs.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Ambassador Chow reaffirmed Taiwan&#8217;s dedication to cultivating overseas compatriot talent, encouraging students to pursue high-income careers in Taiwan or contribute to their communities upon returning to the Philippines. He spotlighted the transformative impact of OCAC¡&#8217;s education programs, particularly the 3+4 Vocational Education Program and the 4-Year Overseas Youth Vocational Training Program (OYVTP) Bachelor Degree, emphasizing their role in equipping students with the skills and opportunities to succeed.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

Meanwhile, Executive Director Jasper Huang emphasized the presence of 19 Taiwanese institutions showcasing Taiwan&#8217;s innovative and high-quality education system.&nbsp;</p>
