<p>Many people, including friends, describe me as having a sanguine personality—and that’s true. But there’s also a quiet, contemplative side in me that is deeply melancholic. I suppose that’s typical of an INFJ-A personality like mine, and my fellow INFJs would easily relate.</p>

<p>I have always found joy and comfort in solitude. Spending time alone is fulfilling, energizing, and quietly healing. As I strolled through Zurich’s Old Town in autumn, I felt a calm unlike any other—the soft wind caressing my face, the leaves slowly turning from green to yellow, red, and purple—such a simple yet powerful metamorphosis of nature.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="870" src="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-57-376-1024x870.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-66109" srcset="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-57-376-1024x870.jpg 1024w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-57-376-300x255.jpg 300w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-57-376-768x653.jpg 768w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-57-376-1536x1306.jpg 1536w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-57-376-150x128.jpg 150w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-57-376-696x592.jpg 696w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-57-376-1068x908.jpg 1068w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-57-376.jpg 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>That is why during breakfast, I long for a grand silence. For me, morning is sacred, and breakfast is a time for rumination. It must be slow, unhurried, and undisturbed—free from loud voices or music that could disrupt that moment of quiet reflection. On my last day and night in Zurich, that sanctity of morning felt complete. The serenity, the still air, and the mindful rhythm of the city combined to create a truly memorable and fulfilling experience—one that captured the essence of what I see as essential to honoring the peaceful grace of daybreak.</p>

<p>Autumn has always held a special place in my heart. Aside from winter, it is my favorite season—a time for reflection and gentle solitude. My autumn memories stretch across places like New Jersey, New York, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Tokyo, and Taipei, each offering moments of peace amid the beauty of falling leaves.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-56-692-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-66111" srcset="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-56-692-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-56-692-300x225.jpg 300w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-56-692-768x576.jpg 768w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-56-692-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-56-692-150x113.jpg 150w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-56-692-696x522.jpg 696w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-56-692-1068x801.jpg 1068w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-20_18-54-56-692.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>This “executive phase” stroll in Zurich reminded me of something profound: just like the leaves that burst with color before they fall, there comes a time when we, too, must learn to let go. That is why we must embrace life fully and gratefully, and without pretense. We may not be children of politicians or contractors, but we can find joy in life’s simple blessings, knowing we have lived with integrity. Travel when you can. Savor the small pleasures.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-12-56-594-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-66112" srcset="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-12-56-594-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-12-56-594-300x225.jpg 300w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-12-56-594-768x576.jpg 768w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-12-56-594-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-12-56-594-150x113.jpg 150w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-12-56-594-696x522.jpg 696w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-12-56-594-1068x801.jpg 1068w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-12-56-594.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Zurich is not just beautiful—it is a haven for those who appreciate the quiet journey into solitude. Its charm goes far beyond what the eyes can see; it waits patiently for the heart to notice, for the body to feel the gentle breeze, and the soul to cherish.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-11-48-800-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-66113" srcset="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-11-48-800-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-11-48-800-300x225.jpg 300w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-11-48-800-768x576.jpg 768w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-11-48-800-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-11-48-800-150x113.jpg 150w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-11-48-800-696x522.jpg 696w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-11-48-800-1068x801.jpg 1068w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/viber_image_2025-10-22_16-11-48-800.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>When our time comes to leave this world, all the happy memories will flash before us. And when that moment arrives, may we smile and whisper: Deo gratias. Carpe diem. Quam minimum credula postero. (Thanks be to God. Seize the day. But trust as little as possible in tomorrow.)</p>
