<p>Earning a place in the Michelin Guide is no small feat. It takes vision, precision, and the right collaborations. And for Juniper, the newly Michelin-selected restaurant led by two Michelin-starred Chef Josh Boutwood, that achievement is shaped not only by culinary artistry but also by its inspired partnership with San Miguel Brewery Inc. (SMB), the country’s most trusted name in world-class beers. Together, they are redefining fine dining through a seamless fusion of flavor, craftsmanship, and innovation.</p>

<p>At Juniper, Chef Boutwood demonstrates how San Miguel Premium Beers — San Miguel Super Dry, San Miguel Premium All-Malt, San Miguel Cerveza Negra, and San Miguel Cerveza Blanca — can elevate dining into a multisensory experience. The restaurant’s quiet sophistication becomes the perfect stage for this creative alliance that unites Filipino roots with refined global flair.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-02-11-173-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-66567" srcset="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-02-11-173-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-02-11-173-300x225.jpg 300w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-02-11-173-768x576.jpg 768w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-02-11-173-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-02-11-173-150x113.jpg 150w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-02-11-173-696x522.jpg 696w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-02-11-173-1068x801.jpg 1068w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-02-11-173.jpg 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The experience begins with Halibut in Taro-Based Sinigang, a refined take on a Filipino favorite. The seared halibut rests on a bed of cauliflower purée and sinigang sauce, with daikon fondant, pickled okra, kangkong lavash, and tomato oil adding layers of flavor and texture. It pairs beautifully with San Miguel Premium All-Malt, whose full-bodied balance enhances the dish’s bright tang and comforting depth.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="683" height="1024" src="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-34-01-011-683x1024.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-66571" srcset="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-34-01-011-683x1024.jpg 683w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-34-01-011-200x300.jpg 200w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-34-01-011-768x1151.jpg 768w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-34-01-011-1025x1536.jpg 1025w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-34-01-011-150x225.jpg 150w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-34-01-011-300x450.jpg 300w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-34-01-011-696x1043.jpg 696w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-34-01-011.jpg 1068w" sizes="(max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></figure>

<p>Next is the slow-braised Pork Belly Adobo, glazed in adobo reduction and topped with fried garlic for crunch. The tender pork and smooth pomme purée are perfectly matched with San Miguel Super Dry, its crisp, clean finish cutting through the dish’s rich flavors.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-30-52-409-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-66569" srcset="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-30-52-409-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-30-52-409-300x225.jpg 300w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-30-52-409-768x576.jpg 768w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-30-52-409-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-30-52-409-150x113.jpg 150w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-30-52-409-696x522.jpg 696w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-30-52-409-1068x801.jpg 1068w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-30-52-409.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The French-cut Pork Chop follows — brined for six hours, pan-seared, and oven-roasted to lock in succulence. Served with mustard and M1 sauce, it pairs harmoniously with San Miguel Cerveza Blanca, whose refreshing mix of spicy, smoky, and fruity notes lifts every bite.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-00-39-245-1-1024x768.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-66573" srcset="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-00-39-245-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-00-39-245-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-00-39-245-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-00-39-245-1-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-00-39-245-1-150x113.jpg 150w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-00-39-245-1-696x522.jpg 696w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-00-39-245-1-1068x801.jpg 1068w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/viber_image_2025-11-05_06-00-39-245-1.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>To complete the experience, Juniper serves a decadent Chocolate Caramel Cake paired with San Miguel Cerveza Negra. The beer’s undertones of caramel, coffee, and chocolate mirror the dessert’s lush richness for a perfect finale.</p>

<p>Imagine savoring Japan’s finest wagyu, crafted by four master chefs in a symphony of taste and tradition. From November 10 to 12, Hotel Okura Manila invites guests to SAGA: A Wagyu Tasting Journey at Yawaragi Restaurant, a limited three-night experience celebrating the essence of Japanese cuisine at its most refined.<br><br>For three unforgettable evenings, diners will be transported to the heart of Kyushu’s culinary heritage — where craftsmanship, culture, and flavor converge. SAGA: A Wagyu Tasting Journey is more than a dinner; it’s an homage to Japan’s timeless dedication to culinary excellence and refined hospitality.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="588" height="882" src="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-4.png" alt="" class="wp-image-66349" srcset="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-4.png 588w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-4-200x300.png 200w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-4-150x225.png 150w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-4-300x450.png 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 588px) 100vw, 588px" /></figure>

<p>This exclusive event shines a spotlight on the world-renowned Saga Wagyu A5, a prized beef from Saga Prefecture on Kyushu Island, Japan, celebrated for its exceptional marbling, tenderness, and depth of flavor. The seven-course tasting menu will feature six premium cuts of Saga Wagyu, each crafted through distinct culinary styles and paired with premium sake to elevate the experience.</p>

<p><strong>An Eight-Hands Culinary Masterpiece</strong><br><br>This rare dining collaboration unites four master chefs who bring their unique perspectives on Japanese cuisine, blending tradition, innovation, and refined technique:</p>

<p>Minoru Takashima, Executive Chef of Hotel Nikko Osaka, is known for his delicate, refined approach to Japanese cuisine. His impressive career includes key culinary roles at Hotel Nikko Nara and Hotel Nikko Palau, where he had the distinct honor of preparing meals for His Majesty the Emperor Emeritus of Japan.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="423" height="635" src="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image.png" alt="" class="wp-image-66344" style="width:406px;height:auto" srcset="https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image.png 423w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-200x300.png 200w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-150x225.png 150w, https://thephilbiznews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-300x450.png 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 423px) 100vw, 423px" /></figure></div>

<p>Keiichiro Fujino, Japanese Executive Chef of Yamazato, Hotel Okura Manila, brings over four decades of expertise in kaiseki, Japan’s traditional multi-course dining. His dishes, served to dignitaries and state guests, capture the essence of Nihon no bi — the Japanese aesthetic of simplicity and harmony.</p>
