Asia CEO Awards 2018 Takes Pride in celebrating the Biggest Philippine Economic Milestone

SerranoIt was not just a glamorous and prestigious night but also a night filled with so much energy, enthusiasm, joy and fulfilment as the 2018 Asia CEO Awards Night celebrated the continuing economic growth and strength in the Philippines which was also affirmed by the World Bank.

“The Philippines would sustain its robust economic growth and remain one of the top-growing countries in Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the Pacific up until 2020 despite global financial challenges that all countries are experiencing and some stabilization of investment growth,” the Washington-based multilateral lender said in its January 2018 Global Economic Prospects.

Furthermore, even in the US News, the Philippines was named as the best country in the world to invest which was also validated by the World Bank Group on International Investment Climates.

The Asia CEO Awards, founded by the visionary couple Richard Mills, Chairman of the Asia CEO Awards, and his lovely Filipina wife, Rebecca Bustamante, President of the Asia CEO, whose primary purpose is to build the country by discovering the leaders in the country in various industries to be their partners for positive change and nation building. Held last October 16, 2018 at the Manila Marriott Hotel, where leaders, businessmen, movers and shakers from various industries gathered together for a night of jubilation, excellence and inspiration.

There were 14 Title Categories awarded in the Asia CEO Awards 2018 that were given to the most deserving awardees amongst the crème de la crème and these are the following categories and their respective sponsors: CNN Philippines for Executive Leadership Team of the Year, Healthway Medical for Wellness Company of the Year, ICM for CSR Company of the Year, I-Remit for Heart for OFW’s Company, JLL Expatriate Executive of the Year, Kalibrr for Top Employer of the Year, LBC Business Solutions for SME of the Year, PhilAm Life for Young Leader of the Year, Regus for Entrepreneur of the Year, Sitel for Service Excellence Company of the Year, Smart Enterprise for Global Filipino Executive of the Year,  SPi Global for Technology Company of the Year, United Neon for Most Innovative Company of the Year, and WEnergy Global for Green Company of the Year.

The momentous night in the country was also celebrated with the music from the HEArt heavenly rendered by Baseco Choir, Opera Belles, Harana and Opus One.

The Asia CEO Awards 2018 also bestowed Lifetime Contributor Awards to Tessie Sy-Coson, SM Investments Vice Chairwoman and to former Central Bank of the Philippines Governor, Amando Tetangco.

The Lifetime Contributor Award is given only to the individuals who have dedicated their life to their passion of serving their fellow countrymen and the country. They are recognized for their relentless service to the Filipino people, and the excellence that they commit themselves to in the work that they do.
