Nothing is more stressful than applying for a loan and wait for the approval which oftentimes takes longer to process notwithstanding the disbursement of the money you need.

With the strategic alliance recently made between Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation’s (RCBC) DiskarTech, the country’s first and only Taglish financial inclusion super app, and Home Credit, the country’s leading consumer finance company with a nationwide store presence and rapidly growing mobile presence, this allows their users to have their cash loans disbursed straight to their DiskarTech digital savings accounts.

What makes it more valuable is the fact that it gives an interest-bearing basic deposit account that earns a competitive 3.25% profit per annum with no minimum deposit or maintaining balance required. Then the Repayment of amortization will also be available through DiskarTech’s bills payment feature.

In the media advisory sent to THEPHILBIZNEWS, Lito Villanueva, Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation and Inclusion Officer of RCBC.“With similar services geared towards providing assistance to the unbanked and underserved Filipinos, RCBC’s partnership with Home Credit hopes to multiply the financial access of our customers for greater inclusion and development.”

Meanwhile, Home Credit Philippines’ Chief Business Development Officer Zdenek Jankovsky also expressed his enthusiasm for the said partnership. “We are happy to work with like-minded companies such as RCBC, which has a unique business proposition like ours—all these for the benefit of Filipino consumers.”

Other features and services included in the app are convenient cash in touchpoints, cardless ATM withdrawals, fund transfers, telemedicine, airtime top-up, and purchase of gaming pins and insurance products, among others. Soon, a skills marketplace will also be made available.

Home Credit, which has been part of a global group with 23 years’ experience across 9 markets, arrived in the Philippines back in 2013 with the ambitious goal of giving out loans to people who have never experienced them before. In the past 7 years, it has helped over 6.6 million customers buy the things they need through fast, convenient and affordable financing in thousands of stores around the country. Now, as the consumer finance landscape continues its shift to digital, it has transformed into a company that is there wherever the customers are—in the store or at home on their phones. The company continues to expand its digital and online presence, with nearly 5 million downloads of its My Home Credit app.

RCBC is one of the leading universal banks accelerating digital transformation in the Philippines. It was recently recognized as the best digital bank in the Philippines at the 14th Annual Alpha Southeast Asia Best Financial Institution Awards 2020. It also bagged the Global Economics Award 2020 for the Most Innovative Internet Banking Services Provider in the Philippines. Its digital products include RCBC mobile and online banking, handheld ATM Go mobile POS terminals, and DiskarTech, among others.
