As the world observes the International Day of the Girl Child, the Austrian Embassy Manila launched the Leadership Excellence Award for Girls in recognition of inspiring and incredible young women in the Philippines.
Led by the Austrian Ambassador to the Philippines Her Excellency Bita Rasoulian, the Leadership Excellence Award of Girls was launched in recognition of young women who have made a difference in their communities and decided they would be the change they want to see in the world. On the occasion of the International Day of the Girl.
Ambassador Rasoulian underscored the unique traits of Filipino girls being Matalino (Intelligent), Malakas (Strong), Matapang (Brave), at May Puso (Have Compassion). She also noted the giirls are set to break boundaries and will take charge of their own future which is the opposite of the typecasting done against women before.
This project is a collaboration between the Austrian Embassy Manila in partnership with the Philippine Commission on Women. The nomination details will be available soon.
